Animating collider processes with event-time-frame format

چکیده

High Energy Physics processes, such as hard scattering, parton shower, and hadronization, occur at colliders around the world, e.g., Large Hadron Collider in Europe. The various steps are also components within corresponding Monte-Carlo simulations. They usually considered to an instant displayed MC simulations intricate paths hard-coded with HepMC format. We recently developed a framework convert HEP event records into online 3D animations, aiming for visual studies science popularization, where most difficult parts about designing timeline particles' movement. As by-product, we propose here event-time-frame format animation data exchanging persistence, which is potentially helpful other visualization works. code maintained https://github.com/lyazj/hepani, web service available https://ppnp.pku.edu.cn/hepani/index.html.

Animating Frame-to-Frame Coherent Line Drawings for Illustrative Purposes

We present a system for rendering 3D animations in the style of line drawings. We use a highly parameterized line model in order to determine the appearance of a line. This model allows us to render characteristic line deviations that remain—in contrast to existing non-photorealistic rendering systems—frame coherent. Other inconsistencies which result from intersection and visibility changes du...

Time Time Frame 20 Frame 10 Frame 1 Time Frame

This paper studies the problem of sequence-to-sequence alignment, namely establishing correspondences in time and in space between two di erent video sequences of the same dynamic scene. The sequences are recorded by uncalibrated video cameras, which are either stationary or jointly moving, with xed (but unknown) internal parameters and relative inter-camera external parameters. Temporal variat...

Animating radiosity environments through the Multi-Frame Lighting Method

Realistic rendering animation is known to be an expensive processing task when physically based global illumination methods are used in order to improve illumination details. This paper presents the Multi-Frame Lighting Method, an efficient algorithm to compute animations in radiosity environments. The method, based on global Monte Carlo techniques, performs the lighting simulation of groups of...

Concepts and Tests for Trend in Recurrent Event Processes

Interest in the presence and nature of trend arises frequently in science, public health, technology, and many other areas. In this ar- ticle we discuss the notion of trend in the context of recurrent event processes. We discuss different frameworks within which one can inves- tigate trend and consider various ways in which trends may be manifest. Tests for trend are discussed in detail and t...

Animating Prairies Simulation with Shell Method in Real-time

Real-time simulation of grassland, especially the dynamic grassland under the effect of external forces such as wind is an important research topic in photorealistic simulation of natural scenes. It is also a challenging problem due to the huge number of grass blades. In this paper we put forward a method to represent the large area of dynamic grass realistically in real-time. In the method, we...
